Niels Maerkedahl is Global Technology Lead, CIO for Business Banking. Niels joined SCB in March 2021 from McKinsey where he led the technology consulting practice in South East Asia and the Banking Technology Transformation service line in Asia. Niels will lead the overall strategy and technology delivery for the Business Banking segment. In addition, Niels leads the overall People Strategy for the Consumer, Private and Business Banking Technology & Innovation function. As a part of this, Niels oversee the organizational health transformation with a focus on driving a culture and mindset shift for the bank to become a technology-first driven institution.
