Dr. Henning Bork is the current Function Group CIO at ASMPT, overseeing all global IT functions including Infrastructure, SAP, Teamcenter, Applications, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Cybersecurity, and AI Strategy. He drives major transformations such as the S/4HANA migration, Cybersecurity Programme, Cloud adoption, DevOps modernization, and the company’s AI strategy.
Previously, Dr. Bork served as VP Digitalisation & Strategy for ASMPT’s SMT Segment, where he played a central role in shaping corporate strategy and digitalization initiatives. His responsibilities included IT leadership, M&A strategy, and the successful acquisition and integration of DEK (machines) and Critical Manufacturing (MES software).
With nearly a decade of experience leading global IT functions, Dr. Bork’s earlier career encompassed R&D projects and corporate strategy, including M&A. He holds a Dr.-Ing./PhD in Mechanical Engineering from TU Munich, Germany, where his research focused on simulation of automotive drive trains.
In recognition of his leadership, Dr. Bork was ranked among the Top 10 CIOs in Germany in 2023.
