Gaurav is Vice President for IBM’s Data and AI business in Asia Pacific, where he leads the region’s overall Data, AI and Data Security software strategy and execution. He is responsible for driving IBM’s Go-To-Market initiatives across APAC, harnessing the power of IBM’s Ecosystem and Partner network to deliver impactful outcomes. IBM Software empowers large enterprises and government agencies to transform through a comprehensive and integrated portfolio of Enterprise AI, Data, and Cybersecurity solutions.
With over 25 years of experience across six organizations- including two startups, Gaurav is a seasoned technology executive with more than nine years in senior leadership roles across the Asia-Pacific region. His career is marked by a consistent focus on innovation, business growth, and customer success.
Prior to IBM, Gaurav served as Vice President for Asia Pacific & Japan at IronNet Cybersecurity, where he built and scaled the company’s Network Detection & Response (NDR) and Security Consulting business across the region. He also held leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as Director of Security Software for APJ, and spent thirteen years at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, where he led the South Asia and India business.
Gaurav holds a degree in Computer Science and earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the Symbiosis Institute in Pune, India.
